• Mirror base with chemical amalgam etching. This
method involves the application of special chemicals on the back surface of the
mirror. Patterns obtained in this way are always unique, as they are created
manually. During chemical etching of the amalgam, dyes can be added to make the
mirror a more visible accessory. Due to the use of hazardous chemicals, this
method is not recommended for use at home.
• Classic eglomise. This method of obtaining an aged
mirror involves the manufacture of a mirror from the thinnest sheets of foil,
which imitate a gold or silver coating.
• Printed antique mirrors do not require manual work.
They are made by direct printing on the glass surface. Then the glass is
covered with a mirror layer. Thus, it is possible to manufacture not only
mirrors but also transparent glass.
